What's the best Survival Server for Minecraft?
The short answer - It depends. The long answer - Minecraft servers can vary greatly from one another even when they're classified as the same game mode. Survival servers in particular will frequently "borrow" various elements from other game modes. They range from pure SMP to Towny, Vanilla Minecraft and PvP or PvE servers, and even combinations of those. Some may feature an economy plugin and others won't.
So which is the best? We list servers based not only on user votes, but also relevancy to the selected game mode. Nowadays most servers feature more than one game mode - Unlike other server list sites, we list servers which specialize in a Survival game play first, and servers in which Survival is complementary second. This means the best server will always be one among the top few on our list! You'll probably have to go through a couple to find one with your favorite configuration (PvP, no-PvP, PvE, towny features, etc) but they will all be relevant and high-quality. Be sure to also lookout for the correct MC version for your client, otherwise you won't be able to connect to it! You can use the filters at the top.
Answering this would be easier in the case of a Creative mode server for example, but when it comes to Survival, things are slightly different.
Are Survival Servers and Survival Games Servers the same?
No! Survival Games is pretty much the same minigame as Hunger Games. While Minigames (such us Hunger Games) are some of the most fun server modes to play on, they are not to be confused with Survival (SMP) servers or their variations. What makes a SMP Minecraft server great?
Survival servers are all about forming a great Minecraft player community.
